Bike Maintenance & Repair
We are always in demand in providing bike workshops for appropriate young people.
Bike Leadership
Using our new bikes improving young people’s fitness and skills; cycling on bike paths and mountain bike trails.
Bike Art
Using recycled metals including bike parts as the basis for arts activities employing a professional artist to producing various items e.g. clocks; furniture etc.!
Computer Repair
Recycling older donated computers for young people to repair and maintain them and then supply them to people less well off.
Film Making
Providing photography and film making skills to young people!
Allotment & Horticulture
The Inspire project has an allotment in Trevethin where we have a poly tunnel and container and raised beds where we grow a range of fruit and vegetables with young people doing most of the work!
Employability Courses
Inspire to Work has supported young people’s access to a range of employment linked courses including:- Health and Safety in Construction/CSCS card training; Ist Aid at work; SIA door supervisor; Fork Lift truck driving; Teacher Assistant training; Barista training etc.
STEPS & PX2 Courses
To improve young people confidence and engagement.
Art
Using a variety of techniques to engage young people.
Maths & Essential Skills
The project has supported young people to access Maths and English qualifications along with other essential skills.
Barista Training
The project developed a small training café space at the Inspire Centre which due to the Covid pandemic wasn’t able to operate fully but we are supporting some young people to access Barista training and will in the near future start up the training café and provide coffee for the discerning audience!
